PuroSPIN-96™ Genomic DNA Purification Plus Kit, 96-Well Plate Format, 384 Preps

The PuroSPIN-96™ Genomic DNA Purification Plus Kit is designed to purify genomic DNA from different biological samples such as bacteria, yeast, mammalian cells, blood, and animal tissue using 96-well silica membrane purification plates. The genomic DNA is released from the cells or tissue using Lysis Buffer  LB-GD1, Lysis Buffer LB-GD2, and Proteinase K. The DNA is then loaded onto silica-based purification plates and washed to remove protein, salt, and other contaminants. Finally, the purified DNA is eluted from the column into a clean 96-well elution plate in Elution Buffer EB, or nuclease-free water.
 
In comparison to our PuroSPIN-96™ Genomic DNA Purificatio Kit, the Plus kit adds an additional 96-well plate filtration step to remove the insoluble and non-digested fraction from the lysate before loading it onto the 96-well silica spin plate. This prevents contaminating materials from binding to and blocking parts of the silica membrane, leading to an increased genomic DNA yield and higher purity of the final product. This is particularly benficial when workign with large samples that contain a lot of starting material that needs to be digested.
