The PuroSPIN™ NanoElute™ Gel Extraction Kit is designed to provide a simple and easy-to-use method for extraction and purification of DNA samples (100 bp – 10 kb) excised from agarose or polyacrylamide (PAGE) gels. This kit uses a special binding buffer formula that includes a pH indicator as a visual representation of optimal DNA binding conditions to the silica spin column.
In comparison to our standard PuroSPIN™ Gel Extraction Kit, the NanoElute version of the kit is supplemented with Nano silica spin columns instead of mini silica columns. Nano columns provide the highest possible concentration of purified DNA fragments as the elution volume needed is as little as 6 μL. Due to the high binding capacity of the column the kit can be used to purify high amounts of starting DNA sample (up to 10 ug), however, comparing to the standard kit as little as 50 ng of DNA can be successfully processed with great recovery and quality ratios of the product.
